History

U Fleku is a large pub, restaurant and micro-brewery all rolled into one. The U Fleku pivobar is located in an ancient building dating from 1499. This large, sprawling tavern is a complex of rooms laid out in true European beer hall style.

Each room has it's own individual design: the Ancient Czech Hall, Large Lounge, Travelling-case, Academy Hall, Knights Hall, Sausage, Vaclav's Room, the Hop-garden and the Cabaret Hall. U Fleku is a great place to enjoy traditional Czech food, beer and entertainment.

The menu is a typical mix of duck, pork and sausage, with some steaks and salads also on offer. The service leaves a little to be desired; the food is served fairly quickly, but as is the case with several of the large pub restaurants in Prague, waiters can be a bit grumpy and unsmiling.

Beware the waiters bearing shots. They serve Becherovka, and you soon lose the ability to stand up.
