Retromarginal teeth

n, pl. On a spider, a row of daggerlike teeth guarding the distal groove of the chelicera in which the fang rests. Retromarginal teeth would be on the ventral or posterior side of the groove. The number and placement of these teeth are often used in identification of spiders. Ant: promarginal teeth.
